Configuration Menus

When you order your refurbished Panasonic Toughbook CF-19 from GainSaver, you get full control of the configuration options. By selecting the from the customization menus, you can get exactly the CF-19 features you need.

The menu options are described below. Some menus have default settings, others are optional. If you decide not to include a particular customization option, you can leave that menu set to Optional.

Touch Display Options

If you’d like your CF-19 to have a touch screen display, just select either the Touch Screen or Dual Touch options. The Touch Screen option allows you to use your finger to operate the CF-19 by simply touching the interface on the display. With the Dual Touch option you can also use a stylus as well as your finger. A stylus is included when you order the Dual Touch option.

Processor Options

A number of different processor speeds are offered on the refurbished Toughbook CF-19. They are listed in order of processor speed and MK number. The MK number refers to the model or generation of the CF-19. Different generations come with different processor speeds. Other features of the Toughbook do not change with the different generations, only the processors.

Storage Options

You can order your Toughbook CF-19 with either a standard hard drive or solid state SSD drive. RPM indicates how fast the hard drives spin, measured in revolutions per minute. Higher speeds provide faster data access. SSD drives are relatively more expensive, but are much faster and more rugged than the standard hard drives.

Memory Options

The refurbished Panasonic CF-19 has two slots for memory. The values in parenthesis indicate how many slots the memory chips occupy for that configuration. If you need a memory slot available for other things, then select a configuration that uses just one slot. For example, 4GB (4GBx1) uses one slot, while 4GB (2GBx2) takes up both slots, each holding a 2GB memory chip.

Operating System Options

GainSaver can install several different versions of Microsoft Windows on your refurbished CF-19 when you place your order. Choose the version you want from the Operating System menu. Windows XP Pro is the default option.

4G LTE Options

If you would like to have mobile networking capabilities, select one of the 4G LTE options. Select the one the matches the Mobile Broadband service you plan to use.

More options are available than only the ones in the dropdown menu list. If yours isn’t there, then select the 4G LTE type: Other. GainSaver will contact you after you place your order to find out your particular plan.

Gobi Mobile Option

A less expensive mobile broadband option is Gobi Mobile. While less expensive, Gobi Mobile is also slower than other broadband options. You don’t need to select this option if you have chosen a 4G LTE option.

GPS Receiver Option

If you need integrated GPS functionality in your refurbished Toughbook CF-19, then select the GPS Receiver option.

Hard Drive Heater Option

Hard drives have a limited temperature range in which the can safely operate. If you plan to use your Toughbook CF-19 in very cold environments, you’ll want to add the optional Hard Drive Heater. This will allow you to take the CF-19 outdoors in virtually any wintery conditions.

Backlit Keyboard Options

The CF-19 has two types of backlit keyboards available. They are both optional. The emissive keyboard is similar to the standard keyboard, except that is has backlit keys, which allows for easier typing in dark environments. The rubber keyboard is best for dusty or dirty work areas because the keyboard area is sealed. However, the rubber keyboard is a bit more difficult to type on for extended periods.

Extra Battery Option

A battery is included with your refurbished Panasonic Toughbook CF-19. If you expect to be away from a power outlet for extended periods of time, you can select the Extra Battery Option. With the additional battery, you can swap out the batteries when the first one is low on power.

Extra AC Adapter Option

Your order includes one AC adapter. With an extra AC adapter, you can keep one at your desk and another in the warehouse or worksite.
